As Attack on Titan is an on-going canon with a lot of new information that comes up all the time, you might want to go in unspoiled. As Jean is coming from the most recent canon point available (chapter 57), you may especially want to avoid that stuff.

That said, I just need to know if you want to opt out of playing with Jean altogether for this reason, or if you'd like to opt out of spoilers in dialogue/narration.
